上個月和朋友在米蘭理工大學(Politecnico di Milano)參觀，才驚訝發現，原來倫佐·皮亞諾在米理開設了建築藝術工作室，每學期只選出24位頂尖學生親自指導！

在米蘭理工最新落成的 Renzo Piano 基金會裡，導覽教授出這堂課令人羨慕的高規格：
– 每月皮亞諾本人親自來上課
– 上課全程紀錄並剪輯成紀錄片
– 專屬工作桌(一般學生只能每天早起到學校搶公共桌)
– 另有四位建築教授每週指導

更令人羨慕的是，這堂課可不是那種講座型課程而已！這些菁英學生直接與Renzo Piano工作室的團隊合作，參與真實設計討論，直接進入Renzo Piano 的設計思維宇宙，深入研究他親手操刀的經典作品，例如巴黎龐畢度中心當時設計背後的哲學思考。

Renzo Piano’s Masterclass! 12 “Chosen” Architecture Students at Politecnico di Milano

Did you know that Renzo Piano, one of Italy’s most renowned contemporary architects, is not only a household name in architecture, but also a lifelong senator of the Italian Republic?

Last month, while visiting Politecnico di Milano with a friend, I was surprised to discover that Renzo Piano actually runs an “Architectural Art Studio" course at Polimi. And here’s the catch: each semester, only 12 top students are handpicked to join, under his direct mentorship!

Housed in the newly completed Renzo Piano Foundation building on campus, this course boasts an enviable setup:
– Piano himself teaches in person once a month
– Every session is fully documented and edited into a documentary
– Each student gets their own dedicated workspace (a luxury, considering regular students have to wake up early to claim shared desks!)
– Plus, four architecture professors provide weekly in-depth guidance

But what’s truly remarkable is that this isn’t just a lecture-based course. These elite students collaborate directly with the Renzo Piano Building Workshop, participating in real design discussions and immersing themselves in Piano’s creative universe. They even study iconic works like the Centre Pompidou in Paris, delving into the philosophical thinking behind its design.
